All rice is not equal. Basmati is a “Super-grain”.
Both Basmati rice and Mung bean dahl contain all of the necessary amino acids to create a complete protein. Basmati is not empty carb calories like much bleached white rice. It is fragrant, low glycemic, high in fiber and nutrients. It contains all eight essential amino acids and folic acid. Also gluten-free, cholesterol-free, low in fat and sodium. The ancient science of this high protein plant-based diet is nutritionally sound and sustainable.
Mung beans are a complete protein. Sprouted green mung beans are extremely easy to digest and have ten times the nutrients and vitamins of unsprouted or split beans. It's important to note that sprouting changes their nutritional composition.
While split beans, often used to make khichari, are easy to digest, they only have a fraction of the nutrients of whole sprouted beans. Unsprouted whole beans are not recommended as they are very hard to digest.
Sprouted Mung Beans are high in important vitamins, minerals, protein and fiber.
